Nicole Trister, LCSW

Nicole Trister is a compassionate and skilled psychotherapist who works with adolescents, adults, couples, and families. At Evoke, she creates a warm, non-judgmental therapeutic environment where clients feel safe and supported in exploring personal challenges.

With a broad range of experience, Nicole has worked with clients from various age groups—including her eldest client at 101 years old—and supports couples navigating the complexities of relationships, such as cohabiting after a breakup. Her background spans both outpatient settings and private practice, where she has handled a wide array of complex cases.

As a cognitive behavioral therapist, Nicole helps clients examine their core beliefs and understand how these beliefs influence their thoughts, actions, and perceptions. She also integrates other therapeutic modalities, including psychodynamic therapy, exposure therapy, and mindfulness practices, tailoring her approach to each individual.

Nicole supports clients facing issues such as anxiety, OCD, ADHD, eating disorders, and substance use. She also works with achieving individuals navigating professional or collegiate stress, burnout, and career transitions. She is trained in Level 1 of The Gottman Method, which she applies in her work with couples. Additionally, she has completed CASAC-T training, specializing in the treatment of alcohol and substance use disorders. Drawing on her certification as a yoga instructor, Nicole incorporates mindfulness and emotional regulation into her therapeutic work.

Outside the office, Nicole enjoys running, discovering new restaurants, and spending time with her kitten, Goose.
