Dr. Magdalena Buczek
Dr. Buczek, a co-founder of Evoke, is a native New Yorker, born to an immigrant family from Poland. Her passion for psychology and destigmatizing mental health started in adolescence, during a time when mental health wasn’t really spoken about or addressed in her communities. Dr. Buczek provides evidence-based interventions such as CBT, DBT, PCIT-SM, and REBT to children, adolescents, parents, and young adults. Dr. Buczek also has contributed to the field both as a school consultant, providing school trainings and consultation in implementation of DBT and CBT across school districts in NY and CT, and is also an expert supervisor – teaching, guiding, and supporting the growth of future mental health clinicians.
Dr. Buczek focuses on building a strong therapeutic relationship as the foundation for any treatment. Her validating, nonjudgmental interpersonal style balanced with her gentle push towards change, supports patients and families in achieving their therapeutic goals.
