Dr. Daniel Lydon

A psychologist with a red beard and short hair smiling, wearing a blue suit and light blue shirt, standing outdoors in front of green foliage.

Dr. Lydon is a licensed clinical psychologist who works with older adolescents, young adults, and adults. His therapeutic style is integrative and collaborative, drawing from evidence-based approaches including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP), Short-Term Dynamic Psychotherapy (STDP), and Rational Emotive Behavior Therapy (REBT)—a practical, action-oriented form of CBT rooted in Stoic philosophy. He is trained in trauma-informed care and has experience treating a broad range of concerns, including anxiety, depression, panic disorder, PTSD, OCD, bipolar disorder, personality disorders, grief, bereavement, and psychosomatic symptoms.

He supports clients with trichotillomania using Habit Reversal Training combined with ACT-informed strategies, and works with individuals with OCD or specific phobias through ERP. He also specializes in the treatment of ADHD and adult ADHD, using CBT-based interventions to improve organization, time management, emotional regulation, and social effectiveness. Additionally, he has experience supporting individuals and their loved ones navigating cancer treatment, terminal illness, and other complex medical conditions.

With experience spanning inpatient and outpatient psychiatry, community clinics, private practice, and specialized geriatric care, Dr. Lydon delivers thoughtful, compassionate support across the lifespan. His work is informed by a deep understanding of personality and relational patterns, allowing him to tailor treatment to each individual’s strengths, coping styles, and areas for growth. He integrates skill-building with insight-oriented work, helping clients build greater flexibility, self-awareness, and emotional resilience.

Known for his grounded and supportive presence, Dr. Lydon enjoys working with individuals who are motivated to make meaningful, lasting change—whether that involves improving relationships, managing intense emotions, enhancing academic or professional performance, or navigating major life transitions. He helps clients clarify what they can change, what they can accept, and how to move forward with greater intention and clarity.
